Mr. Peter Still.
Dear sir:

I acknowledge the receipt of a letter from Rev. A. L. Brooks, enclosing a cheque of the Pequonnock Bank of Bridgport, Conn. on the Granite Bank of Boston, for three hundred dollars, dated Aug. 29, 1854, and have placed said amount to your credit, on my books, as directed.
